Dreamer’s Wonderland was the second song I completed for my current album, A Time for Memories, and fittingly, the second song I’ll be releasing as a single from it!

It came about from an image I had stuck in my head: one of me lounging by a koi pond in a vibrant Pagoda, and soon, I tied this to my current story, one which revolves around the trials and relationship of Ennarin, a deity who has lost their power and their memories, and Sakiyo, a reclusive woman who appears to be struggling with her past.

Most of the album will also be structured like that: some with conversations between Ennarin and Sakiyo as they venture the world, and others with excerpts / views into the story they find themselves in!

Musically, Dreamer’s Wonderland is probably one of my strongest folk-influenced tracks, though I leaned more into my Chinese influences as work progressed \(//∇//)\

I can say right now—it’s the most upbeat of the 11 songs I’ve completed for the album so far, so I hope you’ll enjoy this little gem~!

Ennarin: “Are those the koi fish you kept talking about-?”

Sakiyo: “Mmm hmm. This season especially… looks as if they’ve taken a liking to this lake, or perhaps it’s just Enunase’s ecosystem.”

“Wait but- is no one using my temple anymore then? If it’s just us and the fish around this lake?”

“Suppose they kept it for its aesthetics? Look at the sun, from a different angle it would probably align with the structure…”

“Can we feed the fish though-?”

“…Why do you ask?”

“I mean—Nobody else comes around here, wouldn’t they get a bit lonely?”

“…Have some seeds here, shall we feed them together?”

“Wait Saki- Looks like they‘ve already noticed us!”

“Heh… Told you we should’ve taken photos further from the shore.”
